About Que Sera
It’s not you, it’s me. No really. This blog is a profoundly narcissistic exercise which distracts me from my real life. So it’s all about me, or things that happen to me. But in order to follow the posts, there are probably some useful people that you should know I am blogging about (but only insofar as they relate to me. Naturally):
- Chip – my American born husband of not even 2 years. But we met and became involved back in 1994 so we have “history”
- Fred Ex – my 10 year old son who is an “only” and doesn’t he know how to work that
- The Sisters – my 2 older sisters who probably do not know I am writing this. On occasion the old power dynamic of me being the baby pops up – times when I am seen as in need of bossing about. This blog is probably going to be one of those times
- Mariska – BFF since meeting in 1991 on one time controversial university publication Growing Strong. Proponent of this “Who’s Who” section because without it “everyone will just be wondering who you are even blogging about”
- Cat – Mariska’s partner. Cat is a REAL writer
- Crazy Jackie – long time friend with whom I have interesting and Veuve soaked evenings
- Louisa – part of the trio who, with Crazy Jackie, consumes rather a lot of Veuve. She is also multi-lingual (despite the volumes of Veuve)
- Other Jackie – another long time friend who, um, is defined by reference to Crazy Jackie, but that’s the way I have to differentiate them when relating anecdotes because they share the same name and otherwise, well, everyone just gets confused
- Patience – the only person who gets her real name, because she has one of those virtue names which is the exact OPPOSITE of how she appeared to The Sisters and me as children. I cannot even being to describe how devoutly Catholic this woman was. But I am certain plenty of posts will explore that
- The Colonel – my father – he made my step-brothers call him that – I haven’t just made that name up for the sake of this blog. Truly. You could not make that sort of order up
That’s all I can think of now and I am hungry so I will update this dramatis personae as we go along. Or not. I don’t want to over-promise that Chip in is role as SYSADMIN (as he calls it) will update as required or directed
